Saint Margaret of Antioch

First half of the 14th century

St. Margaret holds what is sometimes called a cross that refers to the dragon miracle. In shape it is a "Bohemian Cross," with three overlapping circles at the ends of the crosspiece and the top. She has long, blond hair and wears a chaplet of flowers and antique dress. Curiously, there is no palm branch to indicate her status as a martyr.
